Anna Bromley & Sandy Volz
September 9th 2019
Performing Encounters, Berlin
GLAMOUR TECHNICIANS
Anna Bromley & Sandy Volz
Through the entrance of country-singer Dolly Parton’s hyper-femininity, the displayed visual and aural collages explore body and voice as sites of self-creation. The star’s exuberance embraces simple, gentle as well as sexed-up femme* styles. Volz’ and Bromley’s collaboration embarks on imagineries of glamourous skin and shells–out of a place that some call “The West”. The exhibition is curated by Hannah van Ginkel.
April 27th to May 6th 2018
Hilbertraum, Berlin
EINE ENZYKLOPÄDIE DES ZARTEN
This group exhibition is curated by Anne Brannys and based on her dissertation of the same name. In it she sheds light on the concept of ‘delicate’ or ‘tender’ from different perspectives, interweaving questions from the humanities, the natural sciences, and art. With eight thematic focuses the exhibition delves into the topic as an immersive encyclopaedia, through a spatial concept developed specially for this presentation.
